The Ride is Life
"We are not mad. We are human. We want to love, and someone must forgive us for the paths we take to love, for the paths are many and dark, and we are ardent and cruel in our journey." - Leonard Cohen
The key concept of this project is public transportation, which for me, represents life. Our life journey. I saw life in its wholeness and brokenness in the strangers sitting in the microbuses, taxis, cars; waiting, aching, thinking, reflecting, or wondering where will life take them.
In all different types of public transportation, you get to see people from all walks of life experiencing all different human emotions – happiness, loneliness, sadness, wonder, fear, anger, anticipation, envy, love etc.
The ride is life. During the ride we win and we lose, we fight and we surrender, we get lost and we get found, we experience joys and sorrows, people come in and out; but at the end, we must continue the ride anyway.
